Optical Mouse
The Professional M4 includes an 800 dpi external optical mouse as standard because this is the best way to navigate music software and you will need one anyway. We know that because as much as we love the touch pad, a regular two-button wheel mouse beats it any day of the week.
The TouchPad, an alternative to a mouse, is located as with most laptops on the front and is fully configurable. It senses finger movement and downward pressure. The two adjacent buttons function like the buttons on a two-button mouse.

- Travel Consideration
- As you get ready for your trip, run through this list to make sure the system is ready to go: Check the battery pack and any spares are fully charged.
- Power off the computer don't just close the case. Putting a notebook which is powered ON into a travel bag may cause the vents/intakes to be blocked.
- Close the display panel and make sure it is latched.
- Disconnect the AC adapter and cables. Stow them in the carrying bag.
- The AC adapter uses voltages from 100 to 240 volts so you won't need a second voltage adapter.
- Put the notebook in its carrying bag and secure the bag's straps.
- If you're taking any peripherals [audio card, mouse, camera], pack them in the pouch so as not to damage the skin of the M4.
- Do not check the M4 with regular luggage. We actually did this as a test and but we do not recommend that you do it ever.
- If you move quickly from a cold to a warm location, water vapor can condense inside the M4. Wait a few minutes before turning it ON so that any moisture can evaporate.
- Make sure you place the M4 securely in the overhead bin on the plane and that there is no luggage that can fall onto the carrying case.
Take just a few precautions and following these procedures can result in years and years of trouble free computing with the M4
