DVDs use a tighter pit layout to sqeeze almost 7 times more data on a media the same physical size as the venerable CD-ROM. DVD and CD-ROM data disc needs protection against dust, particle contamination, water and heat. These factors cause damage to the data stored on the DVD. Prevent the DVD from being exposed to scratches which also can cause loss of data.
