The purpose of this page is to debunk many of the myths that exists in the media production community where some people still cling to the fiction that the Apple Macintosh is the best and fastest computer for creative applications. In plain English this is a joke. Apple computers are not able to out perform even a basic student targetted PC. This fact is reinforced by Apple's own decision to abandoned the slow, heat producing G5 in favor of the faster Intel Pentium 4. Wake up stragglers, the G5 is terminally ill. It will be buried by Apple in 2006 - nuff said.

Some people in the media production community choose to use Apple Macintosh computers and some of these folks have been using Macs since the late 80s. Many still cling to the fiction that the G5 is the 'fastest personal computer in the world.' By now, everyone should know that this is just not the case - our computers outperform the fastest G5. The M2 is carrying on our tradition of letting our specs speak for themselves. The Apple website dubs their 17' Powerbook as "The Ultimate Portable Desktop." We choose not to make any comments yeah or nay to that. Instead we will ask you to read the specs below and judge for yourself:
