In the world of audio recording, the noise of the computer can hinder what you are hearing thus interrupting a successful mix. The usual suspects are the fan and the operating noise of the hard drives. The chassis design incorporates “heat pipe” cooling system which allowing for fans only to be used on the power supply and CPU. And while most industry leading video cards have fans, the on-board video adapter is sufficient to operate two monitors for audio applications.Powerhouse At the heart of the system is an Intel Core i5-2500k / i7-2600k Quad Processor, and up to 8GB of DDR3-1333 RAM which gives you the ability to run high track counts, more plug-ins and virtual instruments, with ease, speed and confidence. Heat Pipe Technology With the increase in CPU and bus speeds, and the need to pack even more functionality into ever smaller spaces, there has been a dramatic increase in the amount of heat generated by components inside the computer. From the CPU, the heat travels up a series of pipes and into an array of radiator fins screwed into the back of the chassis. A single, whisper-quiet fan mounted just behind this blows air through the fins, thus carrying the heat outside and away from the system. MusicXPC Windows 7 With most of the self PCs, the musician is faced with two common problems. They are usually paying for extra software that they will never use in their studio, and the operating system has been designed for everything else but music production. With the MusicXPC, the only thing installed other than the customized Windows 7 operating system is the Acronis recovery software.
